Art Bus began as many La Sirena wines do, in the lab, as Heidi crafted a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Cab Franc that she simply loved. A non-traditional blend, Art Bus features a colorful, whimsical label, and 15% of the proceeds of each bottle support the charity Heifer International, a favorite organization of Heidi’s. This wine is featured at our tasting room and is one of our smallest production wines each year – a labor of love!

Wine history:
Art Bus began in 2008 as a tribute to artists of all kinds throughout the world, people who strive to create beauty in their communities and their own lives. Heidi has always thought of winemaking as being similar to painting, especially when it comes to making blends, and Art Bus is a way for her to express her artistry and love of art. So far, Art Bus has appeared for the 2008, 2009, 2012 and now 2014 vintage. The label comes from a photograph taken by Bill Tucker for his vintner portraits book Napa: Behind the Bottle that features Heidi in her real-life Art Bus – an abandoned bus she gave new life as a fanciful, South American-inspired creation, the inside of which is an art studio. We also give a portion of the proceeds to one of Heidi’s favorite charities, Heifer International.
