One of the newest additions to the La Sirena portfolio, this Grenache (first made in 2012) is a lush expression of the varietal in a bold Napa Valley style. While lighter in style than many other Napa Valley varietals like Cab, Zin, and Merlot, among Grenaches the La Sirena is quite dark and powerful, with a nice red fruit component.

Wine history:
Heidi has been making Grenache since 2007, but has only had enough to use in our Pirate TreasuRed blend as well as our Rhone style “Le Barrettage” blend until now. In 2012, a famously huge vintage, we had enough to go around and were able to make this delicious 100% Grenache bottling. The grapes came from a vineyard from the eastern hills of St. Helena that quite steep and rocky, producing a concentrated Napa Valley expression of Grenache.
